Hareem Farooq and Ali Rehman Khan return to TV in ‘Main Khayal Hoon Kisi Aur Ka’

Lahore (Muhammad Yasir) After sharing screen and winning hearts in Diyar e Dil and Parchi, the super cool duo Hareem Farooq and Ali Rehman Khan re-unite for an upcoming serial “Main Khayal Hoon Kisi Aur Ka” for Hum TV.

“Main Khayal Hoon Kisi Aur Ka” is an IRK films (an IHA Entertainment Company) production who have previously given hits like Janaan, Siyaah & Parchi, this drama serial marks their debut into the television industry.

Written by Shabana Ghulam Nabi and directed by Emraan Kaleem Mallick, Main Khayal Hoon Kisi Aur Ka is a love story.

“Producing and acting together side by side is a difficult task to do but when we have friends along, nothing stays difficult. I am really looking forward to our upcoming project Main Khayal Hoon Kisi Aur Ka.” stated Hareem Farooq, Actor and Producer.

Dual Sensing Control

Large Capacity ODU

With an innovative biomimetic fan, 4-sided heat exchanger, and improved compressor performance, the MULTI VTM 5’s efficiency and capacity have each been enhanced, making it possible for a single ODU to reach 20 HP. Utilizing research from the Seoul National University’s Department of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering, the engineers behind the MULTI VTM 5 drew on inspiration from humpback whale flippers when designing the fan. Moreover, the solution’s advanced biomimetic fan significantly increases wind capacity.

Ocean Black Fin

Equipped with LG’s exclusive Ocean Black Fin, the MULTI VTM 5 is protected from corrosive substances such as salt, sand and other elements brought in by sea winds as well as industrial pollution. The black coating of the Ocean Black Fin heat exchanger keeps water from accumulating in order to minimize moisture buildup. This durability enhancement prolongs the product’s lifespan and lowers maintenance costs, paving the way for improved performance.

Auto Dust Removal

Unlike previous models that required manual cleaning, the Auto Dust Removal feature allows the LG MULTI VTM 5 to provide fully automated, convenient cleaning. The feature removes dust on the outdoor unit’s heat exchanger by reversing fan rotation to eliminate accumulated sand and dust. This makes it possible for users to operate their air conditioners comfortably without worrying about the malfunctions that can occur due to dust accumulation, a particularly welcome addition in desert climates.

 

HBL DECLARES CONSOLIDATED PROFIT AFTER TAX OF RS 4.7 BILLION

Lahore (Muhammad Yasir) HBL today declared a profit after tax of Rs 4.7 billion, with earnings per share for Q1 18 at Rs 3.12. Along with the results, the Board declared a dividend of Rs 1.00 per share (10%). Profit before tax was Rs 7.4 billion for the first quarter of 2018. The consolidated Capital Adequacy Ratio (CAR) as at March 31, 2018 increased to 16.5% with the Tier 1 CAR at 12.3%.

HBL’s core domestic business remains strong, with steady growth and improvement in key drivers. Total domestic deposits increased by 3%, crossing Rs. 1.8 trillion and increasing market share to 14.4%. The bulk of the  growth came from CASA deposits as a result of which, the CASA ratio improved to 86.5% as at March 31, 2018. The domestic loan book increased by Rs 26 billion during the quarter with the ADR rising to nearly 43%.

Average domestic loans grew by 29%, with positive contributions from all business segments and average domestic current accounts for the first quarter of 2018 increased by Rs 86 billion over Q1 17.  However, with continued margin compression and reduction in the international balance sheet from the Bank’s de-risking exercise, overall net interest income declined slightly compared to Q1 17, by 0.8% to Rs 20.0 billion. With a steady stream of recoveries, total provisions for the quarter recorded a reversal of Rs 111 million compared to a charge of Rs 359 million in Q1 17. The NPL coverage ratio remains strong at 90.5%.

HBL widened its reach further during the quarter, adding over 300,000 customers and expanding its contact points with the addition of new ATMs and POS terminals. The Bank now reaches customers through over 1,700 branches, 2,044 ATMs and nearly 18,600 POS machines across Pakistan.

The Bank has embarked on a global business and compliance transformation project and will continue to invest in this area, in state of the art technology, and in building on its market leading brand presence. HBL’s core businesses remain on track and the Bank has adequate reserves of liquidity and capital. HBL is conscious of its responsibility towards the development of Pakistan and the financial inclusion of the country’s population and is committed to remain at the forefront of these activities.

Mera Khuda Jane is all set to commence from 2nd May!

The story of Mera Khuda Jane revolves around the issue of second marriage for the sake of having a child and how life of a poor soul becomes miserable. Roohi, the lead character of the drama played by Hira Mani, is married to Waleed played by Affan Waheed, for 6 years without a child. Roohi’s mother in law thinks that she cannot give birth to a child and gets her son married to Iqra, played by Anum Fayyaz. Waleed on the other hand is not fully agreed for his second marriage but agrees upon the wish of her mother.

How will things get better for Roohi and will she find a way to lead a happy life proving her innocence to Waleed is to be revealed with the drama release on 2nd May.

Unilever unveils plans to enhance manufacturing operations in Punjab

Unilever to invest USD 120 million to increase capacity across four factories

Lahore (Muhammad Yasir) Unilever Pakistan has announced plans to enhance manufacturing operations across its four factories in Punjab, with a total investment of USD 120 million over the next three years. Details of this investment strategy were unveiled during a conference at a local hotel.

The investment acknowledges Pakistan’s macro-economic stability and high potential for long-term growth. Unilever highlighted its commitment to growing the business in Pakistan by creating state of the art facilities to manufacture as per global best practices.

GE to Provide Power Cement Limited with Grid Station to Expand Production Capacity

Lahore (Muhammad Yasir) GE Power’s Grid Solutions business (NYSE: GE) was recently awarded a contract by Power Cement Limited (PCL), a company of Arif Habib Group, to design, manufacture and deliver a 132/6.3 kilovolt (kV) air-insulated switchgear (AIS) grid station that will support the organization in their efforts to operate a new manufacturing line. The new grid station will be delivered on a turnkey basis at the existing PCL production facility in Nooriabad Industrial Area, District Jamshoro, Sindh, which currently has an annual production capacity of 0.9 million tons of cement.

Under the agreement, GE will undertake the Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) of a 132/6.3 kilovolt (kV) grid station, which is expected to be complete in early 2019. The station is designed to provide efficient, reliable power to PCL from Hyderabad Electric Supply Company (HESCO), enabling them to increase annual production capacity after the above-referred expansion to 3.5 million tons of cement.

Oman Air unveils First Class suite at Arabian Travel Market
