PSL 7 comes to a whooping end; TECNO doubles the fun with its Predict & Win activity

In development, realme had been looking for ways to create an environmentally friendly smartphone with the realme GT 2 and realme GT 2 Pro. After 12 months of research with 63 prototypes, they were successful in doing so as the realme GT 2 Series has the world’s first smartphone to use a biopolymer for its entire rear panel thus reducing carbon emissions from its manufacturing by 35.5%. This was accomplished in collaboration with world-renowned industrial designer Naoto Fukasawa who has previously worked with realme on the design of the GT Master Edition. The realme GT 2 Pro has also received the TCO 9.0 sustainability certification, which requires a socially-responsible manufacturing process for realme and all of its suppliers, with over 40 sustainability performance indicators being checked. The percentage of plastic used in the phone’s packaging has also been reduced from 21.7% to a miniscule 0.3% of plastic.

Following the design philosophy of sustainability, the rear shell of the realme GT 2 Pro is made of SABIC’s LNP ELCRIN bio-based copolymer material, which is certificated by ISCC+. This has various environmental benefits such as offering similar performance to fossil-based alternatives but with a reduction in CO2 emissions per kilogram or being derived from biomass waste or residue that does not compete with the food chains, such as crude tall oil and hydrotreated vegetable oils.

Chairman NEPRA Inaugurates CPHGC – TCF School

180 Students to benefit from the school in Gaddani

Karachi (Muhammad Yasir) Mr. Tauseef H. Farooqi, Chairman, National Electric Power Regulatory Authority inaugurated the CPHGC-TCF School. The simple ceremony was attended by the senior management of CPHGC and The Citizen Foundation.

According to a press statement released by the company “The CPHGC Campus of the TCF School is situated in Gaddani, District Lasbella, Balochistan. A dedicated well-trained teaching and support staff, most of whom have been hired from the locality of the school impart quality education to 180 local students. Spread over an area of 2 acres, the school is equipped with a library and a playing area. Statement further added that This is the 2nd collaboration between CPHGC and TCF. Earlier, in 2018, at the time of the FIFA World Cup, CPHGC financed the construction of a football pitch at the TCF-Mouza Kund school.

Speaking at the occasion, Ms. Ambreen Shah, Vice President Legal, Corporate and Production Development, reiterated CPHGC’s commitment to corporate social responsibility. “Education is the key in the development of any society. CPHGC, in collaboration with the local authorities, through its CSR initiatives is helping to provide opportunities to the less privileged of the society improve their living standards.” She further added that “ CPHGC’s active CSR program has contributed to a number of sustainable CSR initiatives that have helped better the lives of the people benefiting from them. These include the Floating Fishermen Jetty at Allana Goth; solar water pumps in Chaghi, the Clean Hub City program; training of local students and provided them with employment at the Plant; providing relief supplies during times of Covid.

CPHGC has so far spent PKR 163 million on various sustainable CSR initiatives since 2016. The CPHGC-TCF School in Gaddani is the first TCF school to be financed by a CPEC project.

In his address to the august gathering, Mr. Tauseef H. Farooqi appreciated CPHGC’s great initiative for rallying behind NEPRA’s ‘Power with Prosperity’ initiative and launching a school in Gadani, Balochistan in partnership with The Citizen Foundation (TCF).

LCBDDA Receives 700 Million USD Investment Proposal of Pakistan’ First LNG Based Power Plant.

Lahore (Muhammad Yasir) Lahore Central Business District Development Authority (LCBDDA) also known as Central Business District (CBD) Punjab receives 700 million USD investment proposal from an engineering giant, Techno Engineering Services (TES) to build Pakistan’s first LNG based power plant. The captive power plant is an embedded generation of uninterrupted power supply for Pakistan’s most anticipated business hub. The engineering firm tends to install 150 MW LNG plant which will use “waste heat recovery” process by reusing heat energy. CBD Punjab has always backed cost effective and ecofriendly initiatives and LNG power plant fulfills theme of CBD Punjab ecofriendly approach. Engro Corporation sets up a trading subsidiary in UAE
