realme Continues its Long History of Innovation

realme Continues its Long History of Innovation with the Launch of the World’s Fastest Charging in the realme GT Neo 3

The first of its kind 150W UltraDart Charge architecture gives you 50% charging in just five minutes

For the first time since their inception, realme took center stage at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) to reveal exciting details about their lineup in 2022. Apart from the introduction of the realme GT 2 Pro, the piece of news that has everyone on high alert is the unveiling of realme’s new UltraDart Charging Architecture technology. realme has always been known for its Dare to Leap spirit and commitment to taking leaps in technology that others are too afraid to take. The first phone in realme’s arsenal that will be incorporating this innovative technology is the realme GT Neo 3 which comes with the world’s fastest 150W UltraDart Charge. With the power of UltraDart Charging Architecture, the realme GT Neo 3 is able to charge from 0% to 100% in a staggering time of five minutes.realme has always understood that charging is one of the most common pain points afflicting smartphone users. Thus, it has committed its resources over the years to innovation in the sphere of charging. Innovations in fast charging have had a significant impact on consumer usage and charging patterns over time. In the past, realme smartphones usually came equipped with either its Dart Charge or SuperDart Charge technologies, which give users charging power between 18W and 65W. The handsets were able to be fully charged in under 35 minutes. However, realme was not satisfied with this and has continuously invested in providing the public with the fastest and most efficient charging experience possible to take that to the next level. This resulted in the newest breakthrough presented at the MWC, realme’s ultrafast 150W charging technology, which can reach 50% charging in just 5 minutes.

realme’s UltraDart Charging Architecture, also known as UDCA, is realme’s latest technical breakthrough. It can support charging powers between 100W and 200W while providing technological advancements in speed, safety, and battery life. Firstly, UDCA provides the world fastest charging speed. Specifically, the Ultradart Charging of UDCA utilizes Multi Boost Charge Pumps to increase the charging current, allowing the charging speed of the smartphone to drastically increase. Speed on its own is meaningless and can be dangerous for your system which is why UDCA also has outstanding safety and battery life performance. In terms of safety, UDCA helps the smartphone always keep the temperature at an optimal level while charging. This is possible thanks to the UDCA’s Temperature Management Algorithm which keeps the thermal temperature below 43°C. Because of this, users can spend long hours playing games or streaming HD videos without having to worry about potential safety hazards.

More importantly, realme’s Ultradart Charging Architecture also gives smartphones reliable Ultra Battery Protection. Generally, for contemporaries with fast-charging capabilities on the market, high charging speed often comes with the tradeoff of losing battery life. However, realme’s UDCA is equipped with industry-leading lithium batteries which retain 80% battery capacity even after 1000+ Complete Charge Cycles. This ensures the battery would have a longer life with a higher maximum charging capacity. The upcoming realme GT Neo 3 is but the first fast charging smartphone with 150W charging and the Ultradart Charging Architecture. Being a tech democratizer, realme has plans to bring this technology to mass production soon and incorporate the technology in their future lineup of phones.

Ericsson publishes 2021 Sustainability and Corporate Responsibility Report

Lahore (Muhammad Yasir) Ericsson delivered on its sustainability targets and made a series of new commitments in 2021. The company put a particular focus on energy performance and strengthening its ambition to reach Net Zero across its value chain by 2040.

In 2021 Ericsson introduced a new vision to improve lives, redefine business and pioneer a sustainable future. Building on decades as a sustainability pioneer, the company has made a strong commitment to fulfilling this vision through its own efforts and through working across and beyond the ICT ecosystem.

This focus is reflected in Ericsson’s latest Sustainability and Corporate Responsibility Report, which highlights its 2021 performance across the areas of responsible business, environmental sustainability and digital inclusion.

“Our sustainability-driven solutions and partnerships create real impact for our customers and our stakeholders,” says Heather Johnson, Ericsson’s Head of Sustainability and Corporate Responsibility.  “But they also create value for society, whether by enabling the reduction of emissions across industries, creating more energy-efficient networks or helping to bridge the digital divide. We made significant progress towards our sustainability goals in 2021, and we are now setting even more ambitious targets for the future.”

Performance and highlights

Net Zero: In 2021 Ericsson set a long-term ambition to be Net Zero by 2040 across its value chain. To meet this ambition, Ericsson will work towards 1.5°C aligned climate targets set by the Paris Agreement.

The first major milestone is to achieve Net Zero emissions from the company’s own activities by 2030 – as well as reducing emissions by 50 percent in its portfolio and supply chain also by 2030.

Energy performance:  To meet customer expectations and help the telecom industry reach Net Zero, Ericsson has developed innovative solutions that enable operator networks to use as little energy as possible while managing expected growth in data traffic, meeting the needs of both current and future 5G networks.

In 2021, Ericsson achieved 36% energy savings from delivered Ericsson Radio System radios versus the legacy portfolio, surpassing the company’s approved Science Based Target of 35 percent one year ahead of schedule.

During 2021, Ericsson also launched a series of ultra-light Massive MIMO radios that are 10 percent more energy efficient than the previous generation.

Digital inclusion: The digital divide continues to be a key challenge to global economic development with roughly 2.9 billion people still offline. With innovative technologies and services, Ericsson and its partners and customers are pioneering new ways to connect societies and improve lives. In 2021 Ericsson continued its partnership with UNICEF in support of the Giga initiative, helping to map schools and assessing their connectivity in 35 countries by the end of 2023.

Ericsson also made a commitment to positively impact one million children and youth by 2025 by providing access to digital learning and skill development programs as part of the World Economic Forum-aligned EDISON Alliance 1 Billion Lives Challenge.

Corporate responsibility:  Ericsson continued its focus on health, safety and well-being in 2021, including a robust COVID-19 response that included a focus on employee mental health and access to vaccines in places where they were not easily accessible. In 2021 there was an increase in work-related fatalities compared to 2020, in contrast to the decreasing trend of recent years.  The company has declared this unacceptable and is more committed than ever to Target Zero – a goal of zero fatalities and lost workday incidents.

Ericsson launched its revised Code of Business Ethics, which defines both the company’s ethical principles and its expectations of responsibility across the value chain. The company also added integrity as one of its four core values as well as publishing a report on the human rights impact of 5G.

Ericsson’s Sustainability and Corporate Responsibility Report is part of the Company’s Annual Report and externally assured by an independent third party. It is also produced in accordance with GRI Sustainability Reporting Standards and the UN Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights Reporting Framework.

Lahore (Muhmmad Yasir) In celebration of International Women’s Day and on a continued mission to turn up the volume on Pakistani women creators by giving them a platform to share their content with the world, Spotify brings EQUAL to Pakistan. Through its local version, EQUAL Pakistan, Spotify’s Global Music Program aims to amplify the work of women creators by utilizing the platform’s resources and providing new opportunities for these creators through a globally cohesive and branded experience.

EQUAL Pakistan will spotlight an Ambassador of the Month each month, highlighting their music releases and encouraging fans to discover them, and Pakistani music sensation, Arooj Aftab, will become the first EQUAL Pakistan Ambassador in the month of March.

Arooj Aftab has been making waves in Pakistan’s music scene by racking up not one but two Grammy nominations – first nominated for Best New Artist and again for Best Global Music Performance for “Mohabbat“. Additionally, she will be the first Pakistani artist to perform at Coachella with Harry Styles, Billie Eilish, and Ye as headliners.

“I am extremely excited to be the first Ambassador of EQUAL Pakistan because this kind of well-structured program will help uplift women in the audio industry of Pakistan,” said Arooj Aftab.

“If I could do something to promote women artists of Pakistan, I would give them all the gigs. All the women working in the music industry are super talented, so the industry should give them a chance to prove themselves and learn from those opportunities to get better at what they are already doing. We hire men by just looking at the potential that they have but in the case of women, we are constantly waiting for them to prove themselves. I think this mindset needs to change.”

Throughout March, Spotify will feature leading women artists on the covers of its most popular playlists, including “Hot Hits Pakistan“, “Angrezi Indie“, “Pakistani Indie 101“, and “Pakistani Pop”.

“South Asian women creators face unique challenges in this male-dominated industry, and Spotify’s EQUAL Pakistan goes the extra mile to elevate women musicians beyond genres,” says Rutaba Yaqub, Spotify Pakistan’s Music Manager. “Our EQUAL Pakistan playlist features women producers, instrumentalists, vocalists, songwriters, and more. The recognition is long overdue, and we invite our listeners to keep discovering and listening to Pakistani women at full volume.”

From Annural Khalid to Farheen Raza Jaffery, Spotify has focused on women’s voices since its launch and opened the door for many new women creators to be discovered by new fans.
