Latest international Punjabi film “Buhe Bariyan” has received censor certificates from Punjab , Sindh and Federal censor boards and film will be released on Friday 15th September across all the cinemas of the circuit. Set up in backdrop of a simple village story, the film has a lively plot with excellent performance by talented star cast. It highlights the message of women empowerment in an effective manner.

Film songs and dialogues have gained significant popularity on social media platforms even before its release. Neeru Bajwa has performed the central character in the film where as Nirmal Rishi, Rubina Bajwa, Jitendra Kaur are among the other actors in the cast.

Pakistan Youth Attended “Salam” International Youth Film Festival in Azerbaijan

It was a momentous journey filled with cultural exchange, cinematic marvels, and unforgettable experiences as four exceptionally talented Pakistani youngsters represented their nation with pride and enthusiasm at the 2nd “Salam” International Youth Film Festival in Baku, Azerbaijan from 28th to 31th August 2023.

Selected and guided by the Lahore International Children’s Film Festival (LICFF) and The Little Art under the supervision of Umair Mushtaq, Senior Manager, these bright young stars, Rashna Zafar, Abdul Rehman Zafar, Ali Raza Sial, and Moeez Athar, aged between 13 to 18, embodied the future of Pakistani cinema and cultural diplomacy.

The festival itself was an enchanting cinematic wonderland, adorned with captivating film programming, engaging discussions with esteemed filmmakers, and interactive sessions. What truly underscored the exceptional talents of these young delegates was their collaborative effort in crafting 20 captivating short films. These works of art, created in groups alongside their international peers during the festival, stand as a testament to their remarkable creativity and storytelling prowess. These films seamlessly became an integral part of the festival, infusing a touch of Pakistani cinematic magic onto the international stage. Furthermore, the young delegates had the unique privilege of attending master workshops on scriptwriting, production design, and storytelling, further enriching their skills and deepening their understanding of the art of filmmaking. “The impeccable management of the festival by the dedicated team of Nariman Film ensured that every moment was a treasure to be cherished,” said Umair Mushtaq, Senior Manager.

Pakistan’s short film “Unmasking” won an award at an American film festival

Pakistan’s most award-winning short film “Unmasking” won the award for “The Best Film in Mental Health” at the “Cine Awards, Green Bay”, Wisconsin, USA, according to a statement from the film festival. I want to recognize the talent you bring to us, we will see it… keep the scene short, memorable and enjoyable”, the short film is written and directed by Khalid Hasan Khan, while Syed Awais Ali Presented by Shaam Ravi as DP, the film’s cast includes Ali E, Danish Wakil and Talal Farhat, the film deals with the subject of vaccine hesitancy and public health emergencies in the realm of infectious diseases.

What happened: Cinematic Brilliance Unveiled at Kickstart Coworking! Shahama Sajid, a marketer and an entrepreneur by profession came together with Kickstart Co-working to screen Zindagi Tamasha, the latest masterpiece by Sitara-Imtiaz laureate Sarmad Khoosat.

Amidst the buzz and controversy, the movie by Khoosat Films struck a chord, igniting thought-provoking conversations that echoed long after the credits rolled.

Lately, PTV-Karachi Centre organized ICON AWARDS 2023 ceremony in a local hotel with collaboration of Sheikh Amjad Rasheed IMGC distribution club along with Mr. Satish Anand (Eveready) wherein a good enough number of renowned personalities of showbiz and Media industry participated.

This ceremony aimed at distribution of awards as well as health cards amongst the senior artists and announcement of the New Film Policy. Former Federal Minister of Information and Broadcasting Mariyum Aurangzeb, Governor Sindh Muhammad Kamran Khan Tesori, and Managing Director PTV and Federal Secretary of Information Sohail Ali Khan specially attended the event.

Besides numerous others, Satish Anand, Shaikh Amjad Rasheed, Sultana Siddiqui, Nadeem Mandviwala, Javed Sheikh, Syed Noor, Bushra Ansari, Humayun Saeed, Sheema Kirmani, Samina Ahmed, Adnan Siddiqui, Behroz Sabzwari, Sajid Hassan, Sarmad Khoosat, Asimyar Tiwana etc were figured prominent.

The event was enriched with the melodious voices of Sanam Marvi and Fareed Ayaz Qawwal who mesmerized the audience with mystical songs. Managing Director PTV and Federal Secretary of Information Sohail Ali Khan told that PTV has established PTV Films Section which has commenced producing Telefilms on initial basis and very soon this work would be extended to the Film making. Thus, PTV would play a pivotal role as far as the revival of cinema industry in Pakistan is concerned.
