The very first project of Express Originals is here – Aik aur Story is here! It is a unique initiative which will air every Thursday for two hours and feature telefilms, short films and long-short films. The basic idea is to bring the diversity of the content of OTT platforms to the television screen. The films aim to provide wholesome content that the whole family can view together on the same screen. The idea is to bring back the culture of viewing television together as a family unit, as opposed to everyone viewing on their phones and other gadgets. Aik aur Story will feature a range of diverse content, not just in terms of format but also genre, from comedy to drama and thriller to romance for all age groups. Express Originals is a project of the Express Media Group. It’s primary aim is to produce cinematic content but television. It is meant to be a fresh perspective on television content. The content will be similar to those available on digital platforms and will provide the same to audiences who do not have access to digital platforms. It will be a break from the usual drama-series format and provide a fresh perspective to the audience – essentially a little of cinema at home. Aik aur Story is just the first project of Express Originals. There are many more in the pipeline.
