1st IGFC National Taekwondo Championship 2020 kicked off with a bang

Peshawar (Muhammad Yasir) The first edition of IGFC National Taekwondo Championship 2020 commenced with a bang at Cadet College Spinkai, District South Waziristan. A colorful ceremony was arranged at the college premises where the Commander Sector South, as chief guest, formally opened the championship. District management, Mushraans from Mehsud and Betni tribes, President Pakistan Taekwondo Federation (PTF) and a number of area elders witnessed the opening ceremony.

The ceremony started with the national anthem after which officials and players of the participant teams took oath. The chief guest then unveiled the trophy. School boys dressed in colorful clothes presented national songs and received great applause. The audiences also appreciated folk dance ‘Attan’ at the end of the ceremony.

It is pertinent to mention here that the Frontier Corps (FC), Pakistan Taekwondo Federation and Waziristan Taekwondo Association have jointly arranged this first-ever national championship in this region. Eight teams comprised of senior and under 17 male players from all across Pakistan including Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Punjab, Balochistan, Sindh, AJk, Gilgit Baltistan, Islamabad and the host Waziristan Azmaree Taekwondo Team are participating in this 3-day long tournament.  

Renowned martial arts expert from South Waziristan Muhammad Irfan Mehsood will be a ‘special attention’ as he has registered his name in the 31st Guinness Book of World Records for doing 60 push-ups in one minute with one leg raised while carrying a 40-lb pack. He’ll be present throughout the tournament to keep the momentum of the players intact. The Tournament will end on Nov 14.

Every Success of This Region is Dedicated to Our Martyrs: IG FC

Peshawar (Muhammad Yasir) Every success which we bag in the newly merged tribal districts is dedicated to our great martyrs that laid their lives for peace and prosperity of this region, said IG FC during the closing ceremony of 25th Bat Baba Football Tournament being held at sub division Jandola the other day.

The tournament was arranged by FC in collaboration with Betni Tribal Mushraan. More than 50 teams from all across Pakistan participated in this 35-day long tournament. IG FC was the chief guest of the closing ceremony. Eleven Star Bannu lifted the trophy by beating Aatish Football Club Tank in a one-sider by 3-0. IG FC awarded a trophy, 150cc motorbike and Rs 1 lakh to the winning team while the runner up team got Rs 50,000 and a trophy. The IG FC thanked tribal elders for their extended support and appreciated the youth which came from different cities to make this tournament a big success.

Thousands of spectators of all ages from the surrounding areas witnessed every match of the tournament and supported their favorite teams. Fool proof security was provided during every match. A fully equipped ambulance was placed throughout the tournament to handle any unforeseen incident. Area elders especially thanked the FC for this successful event. Youth of the area welcomed this healthy initiative and assured every possible support in days to come.

It is pertinent to mention here that Jandola, the sub division of Tank, was once the hub of anti-Pakistan elements. Pak Army not only cleared the whole area but also revived the region with thorough peace. In this region, the army is extensively working in various public-interest sectors including economy, education, health, infrastructure, agriculture and tourism which will directly benefit the local populace.

Smiles and energy in South Waziristan continue to bring colors in the region as Wana successfully hosted 6th All Pakistan Football Tournament

Special thanks to Almighty Allah that we are hearing good news from the region which was once declared the worst ever war zone. We are talking about South Waziristan, the residents of which went through the toughest time ever of their lives.
Leaving all these worst memories behind, Wana, the largest town of South Waziristan, hosted a month-long 6th All Pakistan Football Tournament in which teams from all over Pakistan participated. Throughout the month, the Wana Sports Complex witnessed thousands of spectators of all ages appreciating tough contenders of different teams.

The tournament was jointly organized by district administration and Wana Sports Committee in which teams from Swat, Chitral, Islamabad, Quetta, DG Khan and Faisalabad participated. Baldia Club Chaman held the trophy after beating Chashma Green Miranshah by 3:2. The wining team was awarded with Rs 200,000 while the runner up got Rs 100,000 from Ghulam Rasool, Senior Vice President PTI South Waziristan. Assistant Commissioner Wana also witnessed the final.

The tournament was well-organized with the support of Frontier Corps. A fully-equipped ambulance was deputed throughout the tournament to handle any unforeseen situation. Area elders especially thanked the local administration and the Pak Army for the successful event. Youth of the area welcomed this healthy initiative and assured every possible support in days to come.

FFCS 2020 Pakistan Qualifiers tournament for Karachi and Lahore has taken place and the Islamabad Qualifier is scheduled to be held on 1st Nov 2020. Final Qualifier will be held Online, where 12 teams will compete against each other and top 2 teams will be selected for Asia Series qualifiers and final.

Infection Mode Returns With HALLOWEEN ZOMBIES In PUBG MOBILE

The beloved PVP playmode for Halloween is resurrected in latest content update for world’s most popular mobile game

Lahore (Muhammad Yasir) Chilling undead creep back into PUBG MOBILE today as the Infection Mode returns to the blockbuster mobile game just in time for Halloween. From now through Monday, Nov. 9, players can get into the favorite Infection Mode of the action-packed game variant through a free content update. New in-game themes and costumes are also added as part of PUBG MOBILE’s Halloweeks celebration coming soon.

In PUBG MOBILE’s Infection Mode, players are split into two teams at the beginning of the match, including Zombies and Defenders. Zombies must defeat all Defenders before the time limit ends the match for victory, but if even one Defender survives, the Defender team earns the Chicken Dinner. While Defenders boast firearms of M416 and AK47 with super Extended Mags, Zombies can only use melee attacks and abilities, which have cooldown times. Once defeated, Defenders will become infected and respawn as Zombies, who can even transform into Fast Zombie, Stealth Zombie, and the Zombie King with huge defense and attack boost. Defenders will also transform into powerful combatants called the Vanquisher when there are only three of them left. Infected killed by Vanquishers cannot be resurrected. These make the gameplay even more interesting and encourage strategy from different side.

In addition to the return of Infection Mode, today’s content update delivers a new wave of specially-themed in-game décor for PUBG MOBILE’s Halloweeks. Zombies wear Halloween masks, with new atmospheric decorations, including jack-o’-lanterns, gravestones and candles. More Halloweeks themed outfits, items and festive content will be revealed soon.

Renowned philanthropist Azra Ahmad Joins Pakistan Blind Sports Federation as Manager Operations

Lahore (Muhammad Yasir) Social activist, entrepreneur and renowned philanthropist hailing from the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), Ms. Azra Ahmad has been appointed as Manager Operations for Pakistan Blind Sports Federation (PBSF).

PBSF is a registered Non-Profit sports federation in Pakistan working to promote sports for the blind people. PBSF is registered with International Blinds Sports federation (IBSF), Pakistan Sports Board (PSB), National Paralympic Committee of Pakistan (NPC), and Pakistan Paralympics.

Regarding this new appointment, PBSF President, Chaudhry Muhammad Waqas Warraich said, “The addition of Ms. Azra to our team is a great achievement for the federation, she brings with herself a vast experience and vision that is imperative for infusing life into the federation”.

Expressing her views on this appointment, Ms. Azra said, “I am really thankful to the management committee for entrusting me with this great task. During my tenure, it’s my top priority to take the federation to new heights and help it make a name for itself internationally”.
