Johny Lever sends love to Sahiba Rambo.

Johny Lever, an Indian actor known for starring in successful Bollywood comedies, has shared a message from across the border for actor Sahiba. “I wanted to share this message with you all,” said Sahiba. “And it is from my dear brother, Johnny Lever.”

Johny sent his salam to Sahiba and praised her Eidul Azha special Bakra Aik Qassaie Do. She starred with her husband Rambo in the telefilm.

Johny called the telefilm “mind-blowing” and said, “Our family enjoyed it a lot. Your work was amazing. Rambo’s work was good too.”

He not only praised Sahiba’s acting but her YouTube channel Lifestyle with Sahiba as well. Sahiba shares vlogs on food, family, and short films on her channel. Sahiba expressed her gratitude to Johny and said his praise means a lot to her.

Nimra Khan’s divorced confirmed, ex-husband calls her a headache.

Nimra Khan’s ex-husband Raja Iftekhar Azam confirmed that the two had a bitter separation, saying in a recent video that he “got rid of her.” 

Seen answering questions in a recent video that is now doing rounds on social media, Azam rather affirmatively says, “We are divorced,” before answering further questions in a more demeaning way.

When asked why he got divorced, Azam said, “Because I wanted to… I am old enough,” with a chuckle. “I got rid of her. She was a headache… proper headache,” he said when asked whether he divorced Nimra Khan or she parted ways.

Azam can be seen smoking in the video, leading many to question whether he said what he said in a drunken stupor because of his slightly slurred speech.

Just last week, Nimra Khan had addressed long-standing rumours about her marital status for the first time since she reportedly split from her husband.

Nimra, who tied the knot with Azam during the first COVID-19 lockdown in April 2020, made headlines after she cleared her social media of any pictures with him. Many suspected that the couple had separated, however, Nimra Khan chose to keep mum about the situation.

Months later, during an appearance on a local talk show, Actor Nimra Khan was asked why she deleted pictures with her husband, to which she replied, “Can we not discuss this please!”

After her initial response, the Bhool actor added, “One shouldn’t be sharing everything about their personal life on social media, because in a way you start living your life according to others, and that does not bring happiness.”

She was then asked if she has any plans to marry again, she shared, “My mother and father are looking for a proposal and all I need are your prayers.”

 

Legendary actress Durdana Butt passes away at 83.

Veteran Pakistani actor Durdana Butt has passed away on Thursday, at the age of 83. She was shifted to ventilator the past week for deteriorating health.She had been suffering prolonged cancer and just last week she was put on ventilator support when her ailment got worse after contracting Covid.

Known for her positive and fun on-screen presence, legendary Durdana Butt was born on 9 May, 1938. She was celebrated across the world for her role in superhit drama Tanhaiyaan and then its remake Tanhaiyaan Naye Silsilay. She has recently worked in sitcom Dugdugi.

Taking to Instagram, actor Khalid Malik shared the news of the actress’ passing in a post captioned, “Durdana (dodi) apa has transitioned from this realm back to her Creator.”

“The wise. The humorous. The insightful Durdana Butt is a special soul now back in His embrace,” Malik added.

Soon after, condolences for the Fifty-Fifty star started pouring in from celebrities and fans alike. Durdana Butt is best known for her roles in famous dramas like Aangan Terha, Ruswai and Tanhaiyaan.

Born on May 9, 1938 in Lahore, Butt started her acting journey in the early 70s. Apart from working in dramas, she also starred in movies like Balu Mahi, Parey Hut Love, Ishq Positive and Dil Diyan Gallan.

 

 

Nazia Hassan, Queen of Pop Music being remembered on 21st Death Anniversary

The Queen of Pop, Nazia Hassan’s 21st Death Anniversary is being observed today. Nazia Hassan was one of the most iconic figures in the history of Pakistan Music Industry. She along with her brother Zohaib Hassan marked the breakthrough with introducing modernized version of pop music in Pakistan.This sensational singer was also a lawyer and a social activist who started her music career at the age of 10.

 

Nazia Hassan was born on April 3, 1965 in Karachi. She spent his childhood and youth in educational institutions in Karachi and London. In 1980, at the age of 15, she entered the world of singing and became overnight star by singing the evergreen song “Aap Jaisa Koi meri Zindagi mai aaey” in Bollywood film Qurbani directed by famous Indian filmmaker Feroz Khan.

Nazia Hassan also worked in various programs and TV commercials on PTV and gained a lot of fame. Nazia Hassan along with her brother Zohaib Hassan introduced the western style in Pakistani music which was well received by the Pakistani youth abroad all over the world including India, USA, UAE, Latin America.

She enjoyed widespread popularity across South and Southeast Asia and has been termed as the “Queen of Pop” in South Asia. She, along with her brother Zoheb Hassan, went on to sell over 65 million records worldwide. Her English language single Dreamer Deewane made her the first Pakistani singer to make it to the British charts.

That is why Nazia Hassan is credited as the founders of POP music in Pakistan. Nazia Hassan has won numerous awards, including Pride of Performance, Best Male Playback, and 15 Gold Discs.

On 30 March 1995, Nazia Hassan married businessman Mirza Ishtiaq Baig in an Islamic wedding ceremony held in Karachi. This took place after her being diagnosed with cancer.

They have a son, Arez Hassan, born on 7 April 1997. The marriage ended in a divorce ten days before Nazia’s death. Despite all the fame and success, her brother Zohaib in an interview revealed that his sister “died an unhappy person, she died in pain.”

CORONOLOGUE FILM AWARDS PRESENTED AT A ZOOM CEREMONY

Noted jurist and social activist Justice (rtd) Nasira Javed Iqbal presented the second “Coronologue Awards to the winners of Ajoka’s Coronologue Short Film Festival on 11th August at an online ceremony. The first prize of Rs 75,000 was awarded to Sibte Hassan for his short film “Hero” while Moizah Jilani of Karachi won the second prize of Rs 50,000 for her “Distant Relationship”. The winner of the third prize was Junaid Arif for his short film “ Abbu”. Elsa Shabir(Lahore) and Mahnoor Samad (Peshawar) got special mentions.


Justice Nasira congratulated the winners of the awards and appreciated Ajoka’s efforts to encourage young socially aware filmmakers. Sibte Hassan, winner of first prize and Junaid Arif, winner of third prize were present at Ajoka office to receive their award while 2nd prize winner Moizah Jilani joined on zoom from Karachi.
The jury members present on the occasion included film scholar Aijazz Gul, playwright Asghar Nadeem Syed, film, actor Savera Nadeem and Ajoka Chairperson Zara Salman who also expressed their support for Ajoka’s commitment to socially meaningful group arts. Also present were Ajoka’s Executive Director Shahid Nadeem and Ajoka Institute Director Nirvaan Nadeem.

The prizes were sponsored by the Babar Ali Foundation and individual supporters included Javed Masud, Perin Boga, Fawzia Afzal Khan, Salman Chima, Khawar Mumtaz and Shama Salman.
Ajoka Executive Director Shahid Nadeem said that Ajoka had held the second “Coronologue” after the success of last year’s Coronologue Online Theatre Festival.

The objective was to encourage innovative artistic responses to the psychological, emotional, social or political impact of the unprecedented pandemic. He hoped that the encouragement will inspire the winners to focus on creative quality work and produce meaningful productions in future.
Ajoka Institute Director Nirvaan Nadeem said that Ajoka is committed to encourage the young talent and provide quality entertainment to audience with meaningful productions. The film produced during the festival carries the same spirit and will be released on Ajoka’s social media channels soon.

He further said “As soon as my cook saw he said he wanted to take my pictures and also asked to post them on my Instagram.”

Nimra Khan admitted in hospital, requests for prayers

Famous Pakistani actress Nimra Khan has appealed for prayers as she is suffering from pain due to urethral stones. The artist has posted pictures of herself in a hospital on Instagram, stating that she was in “extreme pain” and needed prayers.

Nimra said, “Due to urethral stones, there is shooting, unbearable pain. And it has also caused infection that aggravates the pain.”

Kareena Kapoor, Saif Ali Khan revealed name of their second child

Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor Khan had been quiet about their second son’s name for the longest time. Last month, Randhir Kapoor had revealed that his grandson has been named Jeh.

The couple, who became parents for the second time back in February, have reportedly named their baby boy Jehangir Ali Khan. Jeh is apparently a short form of the same.

Confirming the news, a source reveals, “Yes, they have named their son Jehangir Ali Khan. Saif and Kareena have refrained from revealing the name as they do not want any kind of controversies surrounding it.”

The source further reveals that the couple was contemplating a few names, “When Taimur Ali Khan was born, Saif was keen on naming him Faiz after the famous poet Faiz Ahmed Faiz but Kareena decided to go with Taimur. This time too, Saif was keen on naming the child Faiz, but later on, the couple thought of naming their second child Jehangir Ali Khan.”

 

Saba Qamar introduces her Romeo to followers!

The simple video has been made using photos and clips.

His comment indicated that he might have something to do with Saba’s editing, and she confirmed it.

Ghana Ali once again defends husband in online trolling.

Celebrated actress Ghana Ali is not happy with the social media comments and has once again hit back at online trolls for questioning her relationship with her husband, saying that everyone needs to mind their own business.

After a user left a disparaging comment on Ghana’s recent post suggesting that she married her husband Umair Gulzar for his money, Ghana Ali set the record straight saying, “He was never an ATM nor he’s a billionaire. Those were only rumours to disturb our mental peace!”

Ghana shared that her husband does a “very normal job” and that they are happy and content with each other.

“I don’t have to clear anyone over here but I think it’s wise to always mind your own business when especially one doesn’t know the whole story,” she further advised her followers.

The couple has consistently been at the receiving end of mean comments online ever since Ghana Ali announced her marriage on Instagram; from body-shaming her husband to gross assumptions about Ghana herself, the trolls have been relentless.

Ghana has made sure to hit back, earlier asking people to unfollow her if they have an issue with her husband.
