THE LEGEND OF MAULA JATT BECOMES THE HIGHEST GROSSING PUNJABI FILM OF ALL TIME.

Pakistan (Muhammad Yasir) The Legend of Maula Jatt breaks yet another record, by becoming the highest grossing Punjabi film of all time worldwide in the 4^th week of its release.

The film has successfully surpassed the lifetime earning of all the Punjabi hits including Carry on Jatta 2, Saunkan Saunkne & Chal Mera Putt 2 as it sits tall with the box office earnings of 172 CR+ worldwide.

Before this, the film has managed to make many other records and has many titles to its name including; Highest Grossing Pakistani Film, 2nd Highest Grossing film from the Subcontinent in UK for the year 2022 & the Most Watched South Asian film in Norway.

TLOMJ was released on 13^th October 2022 globally in 25 different territories with 500+ screens making it one of the biggest releases to come out of Pakistan. However due to popular demand the film continues to grab more screen in both the local and overseas market. The film has also recently been released in France & looking forward to a great reception in that market.

The Legend of Maula Jatt has managed to set new benchmarks for the Pakistani film industry and already has numerous records to its name as it races the country’s cinema to the 200 Crore Club.

The Legend of Maula Jatt is the directorial masterpiece of Bilal Lashari. The film boasts an ensemble cast starring Fawad Khan, Mahira Khan, Humaima Malick, Hamza Ali Abbasi, Mirza Gohar Rasheed, Ali Azmat, Saima Baloch and Faris Shafi alongside veterans such as Shafqat Cheema, Nayyer Ejaz, Resham, Babar Ali and Raheela Agha. Produced by Ammara Hikmat under the joint venture of Encyclomedia & Lashari Films in association with AAA Motion Pictures with a screenplay by Bilal Lashari and dialogues by Nasir Adeeb, the movie is a hard reboot of the 1979 cult classic ‘Maula Jatt’.

The filmmakers have partnered with Geo Films as their presenting partner, the largest media group and key contributor to the revival of cinema in Pakistan. The film is being locally distributed by Nadeem Mandviwalla of Mandviwalla Entertainment, who is well known for his contribution to the cinema over the decades. Internationally, the film is being distributed by MovieGoers Entertainment.

Karachi (Muhammad Yasir) Vidly.tv just released the first action-packed motion poster of their original web series, Sevak – The Confessions, which is set against the backdrop of true events ranging from 1984 to 2022. Nothing is what it seems like the race is on to seek the truth from a dark web woven of terror and deceit.

The story is written by Saji Gul and brought to life by director Anjum Shahzad. The multiple dimensions of espionage open with each episode and the viewers are left in shock by the end. The protagonists hide and run to save their lives, as they are thrown deep into situations that seem impossible to get out of. In this journey for the truth, the resilience and courage of the true heroes is revealed. 

Before the show even premieres, its success is confirmed. The incredible talent is perfectly chosen for their roles. All the characters of the series team up for an action thriller that will have us on the edge of our seats.

Ajoka students once again won the hearts of the audience with their spirit and skills learned during Ajoka Institute Art of Acting course.

Pakistan (Qasim Ali) All were first time actors. The students performed Shahid Nadeem’s “Jhalli Kithay Javay” and were directed by Nirvaan Nadeem. The play revolves around the story of a young woman who is believed to have been possessed by jinns and taken by the family from one traditional healers to another, finally ending up in the mental asylum. The performance was in the folk theatre style with meaningful songs and choreography.

“Jhalli” was played by Nyle Imtiaz, other actors included Hammad Ejaz, Mohsin Masood, Waleed Hafeez, M. Hanzla Ehsan, Shan-e-Ali, Usama Bin Saeed, Ahmad Kamal, Fizza Tirmizi and Sherbano Rehmani. Asad Bhatti added to the impact of the play with his singing.

A packed PILAC audience gave prolonged applause to the talented young actors. Course mentor Nirvaan Nadeem, appreciated the commitment and hardworking of the cast and distributed certificates to the participants. He also thanked PILAC Director General for her support of Ajoka and the grooming of new talent.

Next batch of Ajoka Institute’s “Art of Acting” course starts on 2nd of December 2022, admissions start from Nov 7th.

Lahore (Nut Desk) After a long wait, the stars of the world-class Pakistani movie “Zarar” with mega budget, mega cast, full of action and sensation, which will soon grace the Pakistani cinemas under the auspices of “Jehan Films”, visited Local Hotel other day.

A press conference was held in the mall, in which the film’s director Shaan, producer Ijaz Shahid, Kiran Malik, Adnan Butt and senior actors Nair Ijaz, Dr. Maryam Kayani, along with the entire cast of the film, social media and showbiz journalists participated.

The executive producer of the world-class Pakistani film “Zarar” is Nasir Mehmood, Ejaz Shahid, while the directorial duties are done by Shan Shahid. Tributes were paid to female journalist Sadaf Naeem, who was martyred during the Long March, Executive Editor Jahan Pakistan Zia Tanuli paid tribute to the late woman’s services in a wonderful eulogy and described her death as an irreparable loss for journalism.

But senior actor and director of the drama Shaan Shahid thanked all the audience. He said that “Zarar” film will become a trendsetter in the industry and will do record business in Pakistan. He said that “Zarar” film will make Pakistan. The famous stars of the film industry Shaan, Nadeem Baig, Nair Ijaz and others will be seen on screen, who have made the film a reality with their brilliant acting.

The use of latest technology in the movie “Zarar” and filming in dozens of European countries will surely amaze the moviegoers and we are sure that the movie will break all records of popularity. Producer Ejaz Shan said that in the film “Zarrar”, the famous stars of the Pakistan film industry Shaan, Nadeem Baig, Nair Ejaz and others will be seen on the screen, who have made the film a reality with their wonderful acting. Jonita Gandhi has lent her vocals alongside Farhan Saeed, for this romantic track, which has been composed by Adrian David Emmanuel and penned down by Shakeel Sohail (late).

The music video released showcases the exquisite Iman Aly being romanced by the ‘King of Romance’ Farhan Saeed in the stunning locales of Turkey.

“Adrian Emmanuel has outdone himself with the music of Tich Button.”, stated Farhan Saeed. “Ehsaan hai Tumhara is a special treat for my music fans, as it’s the only song in the film that I have sung myself. Pakistan (Muhammad Yasir) The renowned Actress Urwa Hocane, is all set to add another feather into her cap by officially becoming the Producer for her upcoming Film “Tich Button.”

Tich Button, one of the most anticipated movie of Pakistani cinema, will finally be releasing after more than two years. The film production previously experienced many delays because of the COVID outbreak, this marks Urwa Hocane’s debut as a producer. A-list performers including Feroze Khan, Farhan Saeed, Iman Aly, and Sonya Hussyn can be seen in different roles in Hocane’s debut film as a Producer.

“I absolutely love telling stories be it as an Actor or Producer.  When I went to meet Salman Iqbal CEO ARY network for this Film and told him that I am producing Tich Button he believed in my vision and said Yes to collaborating,” stated Hocane.

The film is produced by Urwa Hocane under the auspices of ARY Films, Salman Iqbal Films and Shooting Star Studio and is directed by Qasim Ali Mureed.

Urwa Hocane is also currently seen playing the leading role in the hit HUM TV serial “Meri Shehzadi” which is highly enjoyed by the audience, with Urwa garnering a lot of praise for her character and now promises that she will be seen on the big screen as an actor soon as well.

After cinema hits like Na Maloom Afraad & Punjab Nahi Jaungi as an Actor, Hocane’s debut movie as a Producer is expected to hit theatres on 11th of November.

Pakistan (Muhammad Yasir) Pakistan’s superstar, Humayun Saeed will be seen as a key character in Netflix, hit series, The crown. He’s become the first ever actor from Pakistan who landed a well-recognized role in a Netflix original.

Saeed is set to play, Dr. Hasnat Khan, a British – Pakistani heart surgeon. It is presumed that Dr. Hasnat and Diana had a secret relationship for 2 years. Diana had described Mr. Khan as ‘Mr Wonderful’ and by her friends the “The love of her life”. Diana also visited Mr. Khan in Lahore.

We might catch some glimpses of their on-screen brewing chemistry in the fifth installment of The Crown.

Elizabeth Debicki, who plays Princess Diana in the fifth season of the Crown is all praises for her co-star, Humayun Saeed.

“I absolutely adored Humayun — he was such a lovely actor, and such a beautiful person,” she told EW in an exclusive interview. “You never know how that’s going to feel when you’re playing things like that with an actor. So I was very lucky to have him, and I think he does such a beautiful job.”

 The upcoming season will cover the 1990s which was a tragic time for the royals, including the death of Diana and so much from Windsor Castle’s catastrophic fire to Princess Anne’s divorce and Prince Charles and Prince Andrew’s separation from their wives could be the subject.

The 5^th season of Th Crown will have Imelda Staunton take over from Olivia Colman as Queen Elizabeth II while Jonathan Pryce will play her husband, Prince Philip. Meanwhile Dominic West will play Prince Charles (now King Charles III), Elizabeth Debicki will portray Princess Diana, Lesley Manville joins as the Queen’s sister Princess Margaret, and Jonny Lee Miller stars as Prime Minister John Major and Humayun Saeed as Dr. Hasnat Khan. The show will stream on Netflix on November 9.
