Sadaf Kanwal turns designer, launching clothing line

Sadaf Kanwal will soon have a clothing label in her name. The model has shared the news on Instagram.

“Very proud to announce my very own fashion line,” Sadaf wrote, sharing a teaser. The same teaser was shared by her husband and actor Shahroz Sabzwari.

Sadaf said the venture is “close to her heart” and requested her fans and followers for prayers.

Several celebrities, including model Mehreen Syed, expressed excitement at Sadaf’s post and said they are waiting for her label’s launch.

Sadaf has joined the list of celebrities who run their own clothing or beauty lines.

 

Pak-Turk Joint Project on the life of Salahuddin Ayyubi launched

Pakistan and Turkey are collectively bringing a period drama on the life of Salahuddin Ayyubi.A great warrior and founder of the Ayyubid Dynasty, Salahuddin, also known as Saladin is one of the most celebrated Muslim rules around the world.

The series will jointly be produced by Pakistan’s Ansari & Shah Films and Emre Konuk, owner of Turkey’s Akli Films.After the official announcement, Turkish producer Emre Konuk turned to his Twitter on Saturday dubbed the agreement prolific on a ‘blessed Friday night.’

“A happy news on a blessed Friday night! Contract signed between Akli Films and Ansari&Shah Films about ‘Sultan Selahaddin Ayyubi’,” Konuk tweeted.

Adnan Siddiqui also took to his Instagram on Saturday and expressed his excitement for the upcoming project.

“Taking our commitment to strengthen ties with Turkey further, we embark on a new chapter of this friendship that, we hope, would lead to exchange of fabulous ideas and talent. It’s a win win for our industries and our audience who should look forward some good content coming their way,” wrote the actor.

“Have collaborated with ….. to produce a magnum opus on the great warrior king, Salahuddin Ayyubi. Please partake in our happiness,” he concluded.

 

iPads, android tablets to soon be allowed as WhatsApp’s linked devices

Latest media reports on WhatsApp , says the multimedia messaging app is adding multi-device support to now include iPads. Years after the service’s launch, its beta version today has revealed it will work on an iPad.

WhatsApp allows both iPhone and Android users to use the service but currently, it doesn’t have native app operation available on iPads. As per the beta version being tested as we speak, things will soon change.

WABetainfo revealed in its tweet that “multi-device 2.0” is included in the latest beta underway with WhatsApp. The feature enables WhatsApp to be used across multiple devices, including in a browser and desktop, but not with a native WhatsApp app for iPad OS.

Thus, instead of using a browser to access WhatsApp, the second-generation version of the feature will use a native version of the app for iPad OS to enable multi-device support.

It is claimed the iPad version will work independently, though conversations should also synchronize between the iPhone and iPad as well.Though mentioned in the beta, there’s no separate iPad OS app for testing yet.

 

Will Punjab Govt. impose ban on entry of TikTokers, YouTubers to parks?

The Punjab government has decided to ban the entry of TikTokers and YouTubers to the parks across the province, it emerged Monday. Only national media will reportedly be allowed to shoot videos in parks.

The development comes after multiple incidents of violence and harassment against women came to light in parks during public holidays in the province. Content creators are usually seen in public places making videos for their followers.

In one such scenario, a TikToker was groped and assaulted by a mob of around 400 men in Greater Iqbal Park on Independence Day while she was recording a video for her channel. The assault sparked anger across the country.

Sources said that permission to make videos for social media will be conditional on the submission of a script in advance, while security personnel deployed at the parks will monitor Tiktokers and YouTubers.

According to the sources, the Punjab government has also decided to ban entry without family in all major parks while students in school and college uniforms will not be allowed to enter parks either. The sources said, however, that Punjab Chief Minister Usman Buzdar would give final approval to this ban.

The mobile will be equipped with striking features and crazy specifications. The tentative price of this mobile from Xiaomi might be starting from Rs 35,000- 36,000.

In addition to this, the upcoming phone is rumored to be powered by a Octa-core (4×2.0 GHz Kryo 260 Gold & 4×1.8 GHz Kryo 260 Silver) processor that will let you enjoy a smooth and faster performance. Also, you will be able to access multiple applications and play intense graphics games without any lags or interruptions. Moreover, the phone is rumored to  have 4 GB of RAM and about 64 GB of internal storage. Space constraints is something you will not have to be worried about while saving your files such as videos, music, documents, and more.

It is expected that this upcoming phone will come with a 6.53 inches (16.58 cm) display that will have a resolution of 1080 x 2340 Pixels. Which is why you will have an immersive viewing experience while playing games or watching videos.

Talking about the optics, the upcoming Xiaomi phone is likely to come with a Single camera setup on the rear. It is rumored to have about a 50 MP camera that will let you click some amazing pictures. State Bank of Pakistan will launch new data portal SAAD

The State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) has announced today that it will launch a new data portal SBP Asaan Adaad (SAAD) focused on economic development indicators.

The new portal will enable users to easily access, visualize and download the economic data covering monetary, the balance of payments and other sectors of the economy, SBP said on its Twitter handle.

Dua Malik, Sohail Haider welcome a baby boy

Pakistani celebrity couple Dua Malik and Sohail Haider welcomed a baby boy, announced by Dua Malik on social media. Dua Malik took to Instagram and shared a story where she announced the birth of her son. She wrote “Blessed with baby boy”.

Dua Malik’s sister Humaima Malick also shared an Instagram story and said “Mubarak Mubarak Mubarak. Allhumdullilah my sister @duamalik blessed with a baby boy. Another beautiful addition to our family.”

She further said “All duas for your son @duamalik @sohailhaider” followed by an emoji ‘It’s a boy!”

Sohail Haider is a popular singer who got popularity from his melodious OST for the historical drama serial Dastaan, and Dua Malik is an anchor, Life Coach, Therapist, and motivational Speaker. PM Imran Khan welcomes foreign investment worth $85m in Airlift

Prime Minister Imran Khan welcomed  a recent investment worth $85 million by the world’s leading Venture Capitals (VCs) in a Pakistani tech start-up, Airlift. “We welcome the recent investment of 85 million USD by leading VCs of the world in Airlift, a company led by young Pakistanis,” the premier wrote on Twitter.

He said Pakistan had huge potential as the country is open for business. The premier expressed the government’s commitment to create opportunities for foreign investors. “My government is fully committed to creating opportunities,” the prime minister said.

Airlift, a Lahore-based online shopping delivery service, has raised $85 million in Series B financing, the largest single private funding round in Pakistan’s history. The financing is about twice the size of the largest private company IPO in the country’s history and the highest in the Middle East and North Africa region.

A pioneer in the recent wave of technology businesses, Airlift Technologies was started in Pakistan by local entrepreneurs for local populations in the recent wave of technology businesses.

Airlift operates a quick commerce service in eight cities including Lahore, Karachi, and Islamabad in Pakistan. Users can order groceries, fresh produce, other essential items including medicines as well as sports goods from the Airlift website or app and have the items delivered to them in 30 minutes.

 

New helpline launched for dairy farmers.

A new helpline has been launched for dairy farmers in Sahiwal to facilitate and provide them with a touchpoint for answering queries pertaining to dairy-related matters. According to a statement issued by FrieslandCampina Engro Pakistan Limited (FCEPL), the Farmer Helpline (03041111804) was inaugurated on Friday.

The helpline will be operational from Monday to Friday, from noon till 2pm and it will be managed by dairy experts available to guide existing and potential dairy farmers in pursuit of business excellence.

While inaugurating the helpline, Commissioner Sahiwal Division Ali Bahadur Qazi, who was also the chief guest of the ceremony, said that Pakistan is the fourth largest milk producer in the world, therefore, there is an utmost need for an ever-increasing number of dairy farmers to be educated in terms following the industry’s standard operating procedures (SOPs).

“Farmers must be able to maximise yield so that the dairy sector’s contribution to the economy is enhanced,” he said. “As a result of this, we will eventually be able to export our dairy produce and bolster the national exchequer.”

“We are certain that more farmers will be inducted in a formal dairy net across the country which will have a significant impact on the economy at large.”

Head of Agri-Business at Friesland Campina Engro Pakistan Limited Sohail Sawwar said that the helpline has been established considering the need of our dairy farmers and is now operational on a national level with experts well-versed in local languages, other than Urdu, to guide them.

“The company brings 150 years of world-class dairy knowledge that its dedicated team of professionals is facilitating the dairy farmers with, especially those who are unable to commute and don’t have access to the right expertise and training; the ‘Farmer Helpline’ has thus been launched keeping these factors in mind,” he said.

Friesland Campina Engro Pakistan Limited (previously known as Engro Foods Ltd) is a Pakistani dairy company that is a subsidiary of the Dutch multinational corporative FrieslandCampina. The company operates two processing plants in Sukkur and Sahiwal, with its head office based in Karachi, Pakistan.

 

WhatsApp launching public beta programme for web version

WhatsApp is working to improve support on multi-device for WhatsApp Web/Desktop, the company is also launching a public beta programme to get feedback. The WhatsApp Web’s public beta programme will allow users to test new features. Users can join the beta programme by installing the WhatsApp beta version, available both for Windows and macOS.

As a beta tester, users will receive all beta updates automatically, removing the need to manually reinstall the app every time there is a new update. The most updated beta is 2.2133.1 now.

The beta testers will be able to test new experiences while recording voice messages, for instance, the possibility to listen to the voice messages before sending them. The feature is already under development on WhatsApp for Android and iOS.
